Millions of Spaniards travel to their families where they grew up to share in Semana Santa, Holy Week celebrations and processions, starting today, Palm Sunday.

The Catholic conundrum: With only about 5 percent of registered Catholics attending Mass, it would appear the masses, however, deeply appreciate these traditions and take them most seriously. But I have yet to sell one Spaniard a weeping Virgin Mary, Semana Santa T-shirt.

Rock on an practice peace and love.
